Does the thing that Yellowface tries to do but so much better.

I was really disappointed in Yellowface and how preachy and predictable it was. A dull blade. I read a review in the Cleveland Review of Books that suggested this book as a much better alternative and I entirely agree.

It's a clever and funny satire that's political without being annoying, exploring the experience of being a Black American without using lazy IDpol tropes. Can't recommend it enough and it feels very fresh and relevant in spite of being like 25 years old.
