The Chairman's slim treatise on guerrilla warfare has been sitting on my shelf for many years, purchased back as an edgy teen. It's humbling and awe-inspiring that from it grew perhaps the world's greatest national liberation movement. We all remember a teacher from our childhood who had some indelible effect on our lives so it makes sense that a teaching college graduate would be suited to lead a revolutionary movement.
