Beautifully written, expertly translated. I found myself stopped mid-page many times, turning a certain phrase or collection of words over in my mind just because I loved the way it sounded.
The prose was stellar and it was a pretty svelte narrative — making it a quick read — which powered me through the book, considering the plot and characters were loose and meandering at best. This works much better as a cultural satire and “state of our nation” for millennial artists than it does as a story in the traditional sense.
Still, really enjoyed it for what it was, and particularly loved Latronico’s writing.
