Solid overview of British history from the dawn of the twentieth century to Brown losing to Cameron with a special focus on class & gender (which makes sense given that these are Thane's two key areas of study). There's some punctuation errors and the sections on the economy are quite dry but other than that this is an excellent survey that I'd recommend to anyone interested in the history of ol' Blighty
