It’s so hard to review this book because Fisher’s spectral hauntology will make even the most perceptive reader conscious of repeating and rehashing all that has already been said. Is it possible to say anything new about Mark Fisher’s work? Yes, he is right. Yes, nothing has changed. Maybe there was some novel link with AI but I’m certain someone has beat me to it. The malaise and reluctance I feel in reviewing this book is not new either.
Again the irony strikes with Fisher’s analysis of academia being under regulation to say something “new” all the time. Has there been a feminist reading of Mark Fisher yet? Maybe I should hop on that.
@tokyodriftereven beat me to the highiqmarkfisher joke…
