Sort of like trying to read something interesting through a straw is my impression. Vaguely funny but not enough to be memorably vaguely funny. Too of its time. Plays into contential absurdity and bullshit French philosophical impressions a little too much even if that's the point. I guess it's in earnest attempting to be satirical or ironic or sardonic or whatever but is too earnest to really succeed at being anything in particular, like Fischer desperately wanted to prove the fact of his talent than make a lasting piece of art. Just misses the mark in a way that's more infuriating than fun and does not seem all that intentional, the missing of the mark.

Can't say I hated it but definitely one of the weaker reads of the year.
