To the citizens of this metropolis.: Whereas the education of the rising generation, is of the last importance to the freedom, happiness, and felicity of America; and knowledge being the best barrier, against the introduction of despotism and oppression, it is the duty of every friend to the equal rights of men, to endeavour to cultivate principles of liberty; and, early to impress young minds with the inestimable value of these privileges: and, also to contribute to render the education of youth as advantageous as possible in order to obtain these blessings. ..
