Mallory Burgess is the pseudonyms of Mary Sandra Hingston, she also writes under the pens name of Sandy Hingston and Catherine FitzGerald.
Sandy Hingston graduated from Duke University in 1978. Her first romance novel, Ride the Savage Sea, was published by Pinnacle in 1985; she has since written 17 more, including the award-winning "Beloved" series for Zebra (Beloved Knight, Beloved Honor, Beloved Lord, Beloved Heart), under the pseudonym Mallory Burgess. Her new book, The Suitor, published under her own name by Berkley in July, is the long-awaited second installment of her "School for Scandal" series.
A senior editor at Philadelphia Magazine by day, Hingston lives in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. She is married to a musician and has two children and one very large mutt.
