Always Wendell Berry. I'm reading the new Kingsnorth rn, which I'd recommend. And I like browsing Front Porch Republic, wonderful online publication with a lot of essays about this and other localism-inclined topics.
I'm currently reading Alfred Doblin's *Mountains, Oceans, Giants* and I'm enjoying the anti-technological bent to it. As far as non-fiction goes I'm really partial to Jacques Ellul.
