Has anyone read Turing's Cathedral by George Dyson?

I read it recently and it had a profound impact on me. There was one anecdote from it that is still rattling around in my head. One of the test cases Von Neumann chose to profit from the development of the computer was meteorology. And something the old guard of meteorology disliked about the computer was that it removed intuition from the field. I keep thinking about how important human intuition is for advancement and as soon as it is removed a very different kind of person moves into the field. This obviously ties in to writing and AI. Writing is perhaps the art most reliant on intuition and feeling and the direct attack on that aspect by the tech world with AI is why the whole project of AI grates on me. Joyce felt writing was about freedom and the attempt by tech ceos to subjugate writing first with AI is monstrous. Everyone has to step in line and follow their better. But that is not what humanity is about and I do truly despise this impulse more than anything. Freedom of expression is everything and having to acquiesce to American morals about the advantages of industry and corporations is exhausting. I think removing intuition from anything is an evil. Of course you have to live in the world and there's knly so much you can fight. But I feel it's important to understand that everything they say you must do is not true and you can do it because you have to whilst maintaining your freedom.
