Whoever the guy is that wrote diary of an oxygen thief. He was right to publish anonymously. I got baited in by all the 1 star reviews saying "the mc is a bad guy >:(". It turned out to be the worst writing, pacing, story, and author voice I've ever read. Not interesting, just bad.

I totally agree with @favoredfetus, I had the same reaction to Real Life and it’s completely closed me off to reading anything else by him, although I do hope he’s grown as a writer.

Not usually in the spirit of shitting on people expressing themselves, but Brandon Taylor fucking sucks in an offensive way. Real Life was self indulgent shit that pissed me off reading it. Nothing inventive. Just MFA-core drivel backed by the author's self-indulgent impulse.
I second Hanya Yanagihara. I've never hated a book as passionately as I did A Little Life.
