Three Men in a Boat (To Say Nothing About the Dog) by Jerome K Jerome

I once went through a tumultuous year reading the Jack Reacher series, very efficient. It's autistic former military superman punching bad guys. After some 15 volumes, everyone kind of become more of a caricature.

Not a novel but I’m a pretty big fan of Ultimate Janken which is this ridiculous manga about a rock paper scissors tournament

Maybe not super light but the facemaker is a good book on the origins of reconstructive surgery which is interesting
