Considering I had to glue the spine to the binding of my Atlas Shrugged first edition hardcover when it came in the mail, mine tend to stay happily on the shelf🫡 out of respect

I like to read in bed, and I find it difficult to put such an old thing onto my pillow. It sort of disgusts me.

Any time I come across a 1st edition of something I do my fellow book enthusiasts a favor by defacing it, thereby increasing the value of all other copies
