This is a great book that makes me feel dumb sometimes. The most interesting and refreshing part of this book for me was that the central character, Maurice, was flawed in an obvious and meaningful way. It adds genuine meaning to his progression and it's compelling to read a book where the author gives a balanced treatment of the main character. There's a lot that I can't relate to in this book, and some of the language used and references made reminds me of my lower-class education. However, I'm still very glad to have read it. Where I can catch the thread of it, the story flows with grace.
