The introduction to the character Sebastian:
"The motor-car is the property of a man called Hardcastle. Return the bits to him if I kill myself; I'm not very good at driving."
In the aforementioned car is Sebastian's teddy-bear:
"Sebastian's Teddy-bear sat at the wheel. We put him between us -- 'Take care he's not sick'"
I'm not sure what else to say but, novelists seem to understand people best, don't they? I feel like I learn more from novels than any non-fiction or psychological study or self-help book.
