Agnieszka wanders around 50s Warsaw, looking for a place to have sex with her boyfriend Piotr, and looking for her alcoholic brother Grzegorz in various bars.  I can imagine this being a great movie, the camera roaming through the city’s parks, dive bars, and ruins, with sodden skies and howling cats. Unfortunately, the characters — despairing, erratic, destructively loving — never managed to be more than almost interesting to me.
