I used to think plastic surgery was only for the vain, but this book really changed my mind. I read it in the deepest, darkest pits of depression after failing to match my first time and thinking about alternative routes, and what I remember was how fucked up someone's future could be after getting their face blown off. Hard not to be emotionally affected by the descriptions of the disfigured young men no longer allowed in public and unable to get married or have a family, which really makes it hard to take people brainrotted by looksmaxxing seriously. It's a good book refined after her previous Butchering Art and would definitely recommend.
