my sympathies generally were with the thesis of the book, but the reality of the situation unfortunately is way different than portrayed in the book. it sucks when schools are closed and jobs are lost, but there legitimately are schools open in chicago rn with 35 students that can’t be closed because of the moratorium until 2027. doesn’t really seem like it’s helpful to students in schools like that where there’s functionally no clubs, no sports, etc.
