Liked but didn't love. Jacket design goes incredibly hard. I normally really enjoy novels that pivot themselves around being sharp and observational (i.e. ones that are written in a pieced-together-anecdotes style) but this was too stuffy and slow for my liking. I was about to DNF after Bill goes to Lebanon (dont fw a Lebanese jawn) but I just skimmed through the rest because I was not feeling it and there are other books anxiously pending on my TBR. Nonetheless, the exploration of mass psychology and political terror is interesting (the obvious Rushdie connection is worth mentioning).
