A relatively light, easy read, despite the subject matter. McEwan's prose is uncomplicated but still evocative, though it's still a bit too plain for my taste (and not even in the between-the-lines Hemingway sort of way). The film is 10/10 though, young Keira Knightley and Saoirse at their finest!
