Dank, earthen, dirty. Heaney has the eye of a frog or a worm. Somehow beautiful but unreadable in the morning or without a shower. Outside of the bog bodies style, and not part of Field Work, there's Cure of Troy, which chants really well (roommates disagree but they just wanted me to stop chanting more generally). The pace, the metre is perfect.
