Nothing ever happens (in comparison)

If there's a anything to learn from the ancients it's that a 50 to 60 percent mortality can sweep through a populace and it can still survive. You'd be stupid to try to learn much from the ancients since they had no knowledge of microbiology or much of anything really, but one lesson they can share is surviving tough, awful times out of necessity if nothing else. Feels good to be born in this era.
