alexandrines are dead in contemporary poetry, but most metres are dead these days.

i was reading about welsh poetry the other day and they have some weird ones. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Welsh_poetry apparntly hopkins liked the. they have awld and Cerdd dafod using a weird rhyme scheme called Cynghanedd. idk i need to read moar
