Think they're still being given out. If you look at https://www.lit.salon/shelf/darzen, there's a beta badge despite the fact they joined 2 hours ago (I'm assuming you're in NYC rn and midnight has passed).

Not necessarily. r/truelit, for example, has 48k members, and certainly more than 100k have commented there, but the quality of books discussed remains high. The flip side is that the engagement per user is much lower.
