Hey, yea this is something I'm thinking about the right way to "solve". For example, I also want to support user-edited descriptions. I think it will be fun to have the community directly edit the metadata of the book without involving Open Library. Same goes for covers. It annoys me a lot to see missing covers, and I am actively finding a way to enrich the site's metadata in general. Thank you for bringing it to my attention, I made a ticket for it.
