[spring] i liked this more than rejection because the scope of the book allows each character to develop from a "type of person" to something more fleshed-out and realistic. it was pretty exhausting to read because of how brutal some of the events were. obviously these characters aren't going to have a happy ending but there's a bit of levity in the end which i appreciated. just like with rejection i don't think i'd read this again, but despite how draining it was to read it was still fun.
i related a lot to linda and i wasn't surprised that she takes quite a beating throughout the course of the book. speaking of which, will's demise was insanely fucked up, hilarious, and probably the best thing this author has written so far. i also loved the story of henrik's childhood.
