I’m well aware that I willingly picked up a book written by a comedian and then read it, and now here I am complaining about the humour within it. It just wasn’t funny. A shame because I love Peep Show but this book felt like it was written by Mark Corrigan and not in a good way.
The constant “hurr hurr wasn’t this old king such a fuckwit!” “Aren’t these old kings so silly and absurd!” Oh my god shut up! It’s pure British middle class sneering at anything above or below them.
