A surface level review of how human action damages the climate, explored through the lens of commodities people like to use. The book starts out relatively strong but very soon rolls straight off the rails with a bizarre and misanthropic attitude which I hope is a poor attempt at humour. The topic on meat consumption appears to adovcate for people taking to the streets to eat all the stray cats and dogs in major cities. It also takes some myths at face value without bothering to do some research (earnestly claiming that meat eating and protein supplementation is anyway pointless as the stomach can only digest 30 grams at a time - a simple search (and basic biological knowledge) disproves this). The book reeks of posh old man trying to be on the right side of history, but offering nothing of value to the conversation.
