A novella about an unfaithful woman's inner turmoil.
Finally gave Anais Nin a try after seeing her name pop up on every rsbookclub thread. I expected A Spy in the House of Love to be well-written (albeit superficial) erotica based off what I had heard so I was surprised that sex, for how often it featured, played such an incidental role in the whole affair. A thoughtful and worldly book about the banalities of human relation.
