

I love history books which cover day to day life, or the ways various professionals performed their trade, and what have you. Unfortunately the list is small right now, and I am not a historian, so it's not going to grow faster than my linguistics lists. Comment additions and I will consider them, as Iām always interested in this anyways!

I'm sure I can think of more candidates but the first one that comes to mind is "Courtesans & Fishcakes: The Consuming Passions of Classical Athens" by James N. Davidson.
