Stuff I've only discovered from digging around at the thrift.

Focus on older interesting editions or stuff I only found positively brought up a few times in the circles I trust opinion wise... At least at the time of making this list these books aren't in many people's shelves here. I find goodreads pretty useless for "vibe checking" a book.
