• Emotions in aesthetics (including literature, music, visual arts), whether it is the artist trying to capture something or the audience response.

• Emotion as a kind of social epistemology that spreads through contagion (see Spinoza, Deleuze & Guattari).

• Various works from positive psychology on the emotions.

• The humors and temperament.

• General history of ideas of the passions and emotions.

• Appeals to pathos in rhetoric.

• Possibly add "cognitive passions" to this list?

• The affective aspects of magic, illusions, myth, fairy tales, etc.
